1. Check to see that your vehicle is in good running condition.
2. Ensure that tires, battery, brakes and emergency braking systems are all working.
3. Remove all loose items and personal belongings not going with the vehicle.
4. Repair all broken, loose or rusted parts.
5. Remove all aerosols, combustibles, liquor or tobacco.
6. Make sure the gas tank is only half full. Top up all other fluid levels.
7. During the cold months ensure that your car is properly winterized.
8. Remove all optional accessories not permanently mounted.
9. Store the jack and spare tire in the proper location.
10. Place a copy of the vehicle registration and if required, a copy of the insurance as well.
11. Have at least two sets of keys with your vehicle.
12. Apply a heavy coat of wax to help fight the elements along the travel route.
13. Inform Performance Auto Carrier of any security features, starting instructions or other details they should know about your car.
14. Properly bolt down any caps or canopies on vehicles such as trucks.
